RV Across America

It’s here the moment you’ve waited for all your life! You have earned enough to finally take your RV across the U.S of A!! Do you have a game plan? The United States is FILLED with countless landmarks and not to mention the different food varieties along the way. Whether you start from California to Virginia or vice versa you will be in that RV for a LONG time.

Taking Breaks While Traveling is Key

What are your plans for breaks? This seems like a lot of questions however we can provide some insights to help prepare for this event in your life.

Google suggests that this special event in your life of traveling across the states should take at least 9 days. But what if traffic is not ideal? It is quite likely in your travels at some point you will come across an area during the “rush” hour where everyone and their mother will be coming home from work. When these circumstances inevitably happen why not take a break? You bought an RV for leisure and fun, not to feel like you’re trapped in another vehicle in rush hour after work. So how about every two hours or so find a place to take a break at and we’re not talking about a little 5 minute break , shoot for at least 15 minutes.

What should you do on these breaks? A walk sounds lovely after being confined to a vehicle for a long period of time. Enjoy the area, scenery and take in the fresh air. Your body will surely appreciate being able to move and afterwards you will be prepared once more to take on the road. Do you have someone riding with you? If so can they drive?  If you can switch drivers that gives more rest time for the previous driver and when it comes to switch again you will have a well rested, safe driver.

What’s Your Game Plan to Travel the USA?

So with that in mind have you crafted a game plan on where to travel? America is filled with just about everything the heart could want in life. Do you enjoy the mountains? Perhaps take some extra time around the Rockies or if you are in the east coast how about the Appalachian mountains. The views from the mountain require no filter, they are simply beautiful.

What if you want brave driving the battlefield of a city? The buildings are often historic with great architecture and look remarkable. City lights at night of course is a beautiful picture, one that should be enlarged and displayed somewhere in the house after this trip.

America offers many kinds of food, what is your favorite? New Orleans has some of the best gumbo across the United States. You might be into barbecue, both North and South Carolina, Kansas, and Texas are great places to get some of the best BBQ, just to name a couple of areas. If you are new to barbecue have your napkins ready it is quite easy for a mess to come from that kind of food but it will be worth it.

History is everywhere across the USA. Battles from various wars on the east coast. Music icons got their start in many cities across the US. If your favorite music icon has passed in some areas there will be an aura around where their final resting place.
